Don't Plan to make a Marketing Plan!

It's amazing how fast a Business can take off in the early stages; or for that matter not.
In some cases a Business may not have a marketing plan to start with; this can be a bit like hoping into a car and wanting to get to a destination but not having a road map to help get you there.
On the flip side of things a Business may have a great marketing plan to start off with, see fantastic growth over a period of time and then start to slow down. It may be a case that the marketing plan may need to be reviewed and updated to reflect the current state of the business and or market place.
The P’s of Marketing:
Once upon a time we had the 4 p’s of marketing to help us focus on developing a marketing plan, (Product, Price, Placement & Promotion); then we saw People, Process, Physical Environment and Productivity added. Yes no doubt 8 P’s are better than having 4 P’s to help guide us.
So all of the above being said, where do we start? Well the first step is to get hold of a good Marketing Template and start to work on a plan that will put a focus on your business in areas that are needed.
Needless to say the internet has numerous websites and downloadable plans.
One that I have recently visited is a Business Victoria website. It has a good variety of information and a simple but effective downloadable_Marketing_Plan template.
