This week I was reading an article in BRW titled "Every CEO's new obsession: the customer journey"
What I found interesting was the fact that the article talked about how the high end of town "big business" are now starting to take notice of this so called "Customer Journey". The reason why I found this interesting in it's self is that the "Customer Decision Journey" is not relatively new, but some years old.
As a matter of fact I gave a presentation on the CDJ concept at least 2 or 3 years prior in Germany.
In a nutshell the "CDJ" highlights how customers now interact with brands and how they ultimately form and make a judgment decision on the path to purchase. This is very different to the old so called "sales process funnel".
Harvard_Business_Review published a fantastic article a few years back by [DavidEdelman] this is a must read in relation to the CDJ.
