Adaptability.....Perhaps the most important word to consider in business today.

I think that Charles Darwin got it right when he surmised that Adaptability was the primary key to survival; perhaps the same can be said for business.

It’s amazing how we all get into our so called “swim lanes”; by that I mean we all tend to fall into a set way of doing things. Whether it’s how we as a company go about our daily business processes or for that matter how we personally conduct ourselves in our working environment.

Over the last decade business has seen amazing changes brought on by technology, e-commerce and a GFC thrown into the mix. A weakened business and consumer confidence in Australia has also see a rise in competiveness from rival companies.

So all of the above being said; perhaps more than ever before it’s important to step back from our daily business and personal processes and take the time to ask WHY and WHAT IF?

Question ourselves as to why we do things the way that we do; what if we did things differently, would we get a better outcome? The more we question and review our work processes and offerings, the more we open up the potential to become Adaptive within our business.

After all, business survival doesn’t happen by chance!
