Information Bias
Does more information guarantee better business decisions?
Chances are NO!
Perhaps Professor Igor Ansoff said it best when he coined the phrase "paralysis by analysis"
When you consider all of the data and/or information that one can amass on any one particular subject; the prospect of sifting through all of the information so it aligns and points to a single conclusion, or for that matter a single path is highly unlikely.
As opposed to gathering countless amounts of superfluous information, focus on the so called bare facts, of the question at hand. In addition If possible use your previous business experience and understandings along with some detailed, but concise information to help determine the best way forward.
Hopefully you will avoid the "illusion of knowledge".
